CAVES TIP #1
The most confusing level for even GoldenEye vets is Caves. This tip covers the more confusing area of the level. I hope that the screenshots will be clear enough but you should have a decent understanding of where most locations are for this to make sense. I suggest that you sit in front of the actual game and walk into this lower area so that you can actually find these locations which I have pictures of below.
The picture on the left is the confusing area of the level. This area is found below the picture on the right. Both of these pictures show the regeneration locations.
The most difficult thing about Caves is knowing where you are when you regenerate. In this location, looking for a distinct feature is the key. The distinct feature in the lower maze like area is the bright orange coloured area. You can see it on the right side of the picture above.
Doak in the above picture is standing at bright orange spot which is the junction of the lower area. He is standing where there is a ramp on the left leading up to the special weapon area.
This picture is taken from Doaks perspective in the previous picture. The player off in the distance is at the regeneration location. Notice the ramp on the right leading up to the special weapon location.
This picture is taken from the same location as the previous picture, but this time turned slightly right. In this shot, I've tried to show the divider (the bright orange area) where the ramp leading to the special weapon area is. You can see a part of the ramp leading up to the special weapon area, slightly to the left of the center of this picture. The other side of the divider is the corridor which leads into the large bright room.
This is a more clear picture of the corridor leading into the bright open area. In case you are unsure of the bright open area, it has a weapon location, and you can get to the ramp leading to the BODY ARMOR also.
I suggest you actually get in front of your television so you can spot the key distinct bright orange area. This area may seem like a maze, but once you spot the bright orange, you know where to go.
